Site Improvement
More Shipping Options

Thanks to improvements at the US Postal Service we now offer more shipping options at AESwave.com.

In addition to the various UPS service levels, we now offer three options from the US Postal Service:
-- Priority Mail (US, APO, FPO & Territories)
-- Express Mail (US, APO, FPO & Territories)
-- International Global Express (For none US addresses)
To each shipment we will add options for tracking, delivery confirmation and insurance.

After pressing the CHECK OUT option you will be prompted to enter your destination, postal code and shipping method as seen below:

Be sure to consider which shipping service is your best deal, typically:
-- UPS is faster and more dependable than US Postal.
-- US Postal delivers on Saturday, UPS does not.
-- US Postal is usually cheaper than UPS when shipping to addresses outside the 48 states, this includes APO, FPO, Alaska and Hawaii.
-- UPS will resolve loss & damage issues much faster than US Postal.
-- Import fees, duties, brokerage fees may be handled differently by UPS and US Postal, especially in Canada.  Check with your local officials to determine your best option.

Careers
Launching Pad for the Future

Once a technician, always a technician.  Perhaps this was once true, but not today.  There are many opportunities for technicians to use their unique skills, talents and knowledge in fields related to automotive repair but outside the walls of a traditional shop.

Two popular choices for technician's to go into are sales and vocational education.  Other choices include corporate and government.

How about writing, or the internet, or inventing, or even photography?  Yes!

Below I have listed a few technicians who have ventured into these areas as part-time and full-time entrepreneurs.

Bill Lakow: creator of the book: Lab & Ignition Scope Diagnostics

Milt Webb: creator of the book: Tuning Up Autos and Trucks

Phil Fournier: creator of the book: Making the Vehicle to Reach Your Dreams
He also created the multi-pinned probe: Phil's Piercing Probe.

Bruce Koeppen: creator of Point of Sale OBD-II

Paul Johnson, now makes his living doing photography.

John Forro: creator of the book: Silver Bullets

Jerry Truglia: creator of the "Getting to Know..." series:
-- Getting to Know the Automotive Lab Scope
-- Getting to Know OBD II
-- OBD II Diagnostic Strategies

Brent Black: founder of iATN

Mike Herbert: creator of the series of books on "Mastering Your..."
-- Mastering Your Lab Scope
-- Mastering your MODIS
-- Mastering Your Vetronix 5100

Steven McAfee, creator of the books: Lab Scopes: Intro and Advanced and Smog Refresher Course

Jorge Menchu: founder of AES.

I hope you get the chance to meet some of these risk-takers and use them as an inspiration to launch yourself into a new world. In the meantime they have something they would like you to buy.
