Fluke 190 scopes
Setup Shooter: Load, Shoot and Activate!

Jorge is working on a new software program called the Setup Shooter.  It converts your Fluke industrial scope into an easy-to-use automotive lab scope with time saving setups, screen activation and waveform references.  Load, Shoot and Activate your Flukes scope with the Setup Shooter:

1. "Load" scope setups from the Fluke 190-series ScopeMeters to your PC.
The Fluke 190-series scopes only have 15 memory slots, not bad, but not enough for today's scope user.  The Setup Shooter gives you unlimited storage, it will save any setup you create in the scope onto your PCs hard drive.  All scope settings are saved along with the contents of the visible screen.

2. "Shoot" scope setups from your PC to Fluke 190-series ScopeMeters.
Any setup uploaded to the PC and saved into the Setup Shooter can be transferred back to any of the scope's 15 memory slots.  You can transfer one to 15 setups at a time from the PC to the scope.

3. "Activate" scope setups from your PC to eliminate button-pushing on the scope.
After you have shot your setup(s) from the PC to scope memory press the Setup Shooter "Activate" button.  This will recall the chosen setup from the scope's memory slot and display the reference waveform on the screen of your scope.

4. An automotive-specific database of screen setups and sample waveforms is included with the program.  "Shoot" them to your scope and "Activate" them to use as a reference waveform during your on-car testing.  Of course the Setup Shooter lets you create your own database of custom setups, as many as you like!

The Setup Shooter will be available by mid-Summer.

Click here to view a 4-page sample print out (PDF) from the Setup Shooter.

Page 1 shows which setups have been shot from the PC to scope memory.  Notice the 14 empty slots, only 1 setup was shot to the scope (15 at a time is the max).

Pages 2-4 show the contents of one record from the automotive-specific database.  This includes the scope settings (volts, time, trigger, etc..for each channel) with sample waveform and diagnostic notes.  Remember, with the Setup Shooter you can create your own records and databases as well as use the ones we include.

Preview and select the setups you wish to "shoot" to your scope.
