Customizing your software
AES Wave! Renaming Fields

Did you know you can customize the names of field labels in your AES Wave! databases?  It is extremely easy to do and should be done to tailor the program to the way your shop operates.

Open any one of your AES Wave! databases and go to the EDIT screen for any record (see image below).

Position your mouse over any field name and double click it. (Field names are the black text labels located just above the white boxes with the black arrow.)

A small window will pop up.  Type in the new name and click OK.

The EDIT screen will now display your new custom field name.  This customized field name will also appear on all printouts and database screens.

Tip of the month
Hybrid Tip from Craig Van Batenburg

Craig says, "Be careful when handling a leaking NiMH cell (this is rare). Use a pair of gloves as the electrolyte will burn your skin. If you get the NiMH electrolyte on your skin flush immediately with vinegar and get medical attention. I have never seen a leaking cell. This is more of an issue for EMT and Fire departments. Lead acid problems are a lot worse."
