Power Probe ECT 2000 Circuit Tester
Ever
seen one of those action flicks where they attach a transmitter to a
car and then use GPS to track down terrorists, kidnappers, or truant
high school students bent on overthrowing a sadistic guidance
counselor? The Power Probe ECT 2000 Circuit Tester uses a similar
approach to track shorts and opens in vehicle circuits.
The scope voltage and time settings determine the
size of the waveform on your scope screen. You can zoom out,
displaying more waveform at a smaller size, or zoom in, magnifying a
portion of the waveform for closer analysis. Vertical size is
controlled by the voltage adjustment; horizontal size by the time
adjustment.
The swiss army knife of transducers! Compatible
with your Snap-On® transducers.

Technician Entrepreneur Mobile Techs: Competitor or Profit-Center?
A growing trend among diagnostic-loving technicians is to drop
the shop and hit the road to provide diagnostic services to local
shops. They are well tooled, well connected, and when the price
is right, will work for hire.
Are they keeping your under-educated, under-tooled competitors open
for business?
Or
Are they helping your shop stay lean and profitable by providing
just-in-time, as-needed knowledge and equipment?
Probably a little of
both. Mark Olinger, vice president of the Mobile Diagnostics
Group, thinks your shop has more to gain than lose by utilizing a
mobile diagnostic tech for diagnosis, flashing, resets, and more.
The
Mobile Diagnostics Group is a loose network of independently owned
and operated businesses scattered throughout the United States. Is
there one in your area?
