The AE-scantool is an inexpensive yet robust scantool, 
this will help you choose which one to get.

 

First, choose your platform: PC, Pocket PC or Palm:
-- PC: Click here for AES# AE-st05
-- Pocket PC: Click here for AES# AE-st02 
-- Palm: Click here for AES# AE-st03 
They each have the same coverage (Generic OBD2/CAN) at the same price but operate on different platforms.

Second, do you want more than Generic coverage?
Add manufacturer specific PIDS and active commands to the platform you chose above.
Generic, CAN and enhanced coverage is available in one package:
-- For PC: Domestic and Asian: Click here for the AES# AE-sp01
-- For PC: Asian only: Click here for the AES# AE-sp06
-- For PC: Domestic only: Click here for the AES# AE-sp05
-- For PC: Euro only: Click here for the AES# AE-sp07
-- For Palm or Pocket PC: We do not recommend Enhanced coverage for the PDA's since the update rate is so slow!

Third, do you need European coverage?
Once you have your Generic package for PC you can add enhanced European coverage:

-- For PC: Landrover: Click here for the AES# AE-e110 
-- For PC: Porsche: Click here for the AES# AE-e112 
NOTE: these require the purchase of the AES# AE-st05.

Which PDA platform should you get?
Get both. When you purchase the Palm or Pocket PC you can get the other one for only $60.00.  Click here for AES# AE-st04.
Sorry no dual-platform upgrades for the PC version.

Wireless (Bluetooth) option?
AutoEnginuity will work with Bluetooth enabled PDA's but you must add Bluetooth capability to the scan tool.  Click here for AES# AE-eh03.
NOTE: Bluetooth slows down the speed of the scan tool. We do not recommend it when using the enhanced software.
NOTE: There is no wireless option for the PC platform.

Updates?
Updates for the Generic CAN/OBD2 coverage are for free.
Updates for the manufacturer specific coverage are free for the first year after your purchase and $60.00 afterwards.  Any new hardware required to run enhanced software is available at additional charge.
