Need an insulation tester for 48V and 80V forklifts?
Verifying the condition of
electrical insulation on all electric forklifts from all
manufacturers is especially important on the newer and more
sensitive systems.
To test insulation, you can use your DMM and
measure the voltage potential between the truck circuits and
the frame, then measure current flow, then use Ohm’s law to
figure out the resistance. This is complicated!
Additionally, your DMM may not give you an
accurate information if uses just a few mV to check the
resistance.
