Scope each COP cylinder, one at a time, and quickly with the WyzeProbe!
This 24-inch long probe is just the right size for reaching into the Ford Triton.

Works on all labscopes! Industrial and automotive.

Test lead sold separately, see below.

Does more than just COP
* Superimpose secondary ignition patterns on conventional ignition, by simply placing probe near (not on) the ignition coil.
* Superimpose secondary ignition patterns on HEI (Coil-in-Cap) ignition, by simply placing probe on distributor cap center position.

Does more than just Secondary Ignition
* Alternator diode pattern: place WyzeProbe tip on rear (ground) case of alternator. Instead of fighting to get to the positive output terminal of alternator.
* Injector on time: provides a quick way to verify on time and mechanical problems on some injectors used with with COP ignition.

* works on most coil on plug systems.
* Scope all 8 cylinders of the Ford Triton cop ignition system in under 15 minutes with your labscope.
* Faster than scoping the primary!
* Find misfires that don't set trouble codes without scraping your knuckles or getting dirty.
* Fully shielded to probe tip.
* Ccapacitive protected to avoid damage to your test equipment.
* Works on all labscopes!
* Works with Snap-on Vantage (ignition patterns only).
* No batteries required!

Test Lead
The WyzeProbe can be used with practically any oscilliscope. Select the the appropriate test lead to to connect the probe to your scope:
- for scopes with BNC inputs (Pico, OTC, Interro)
- for scopes with Banana inputs (Snap-on, UEI)

Scope setup for the Triton Engine

1. Set up the time base on your scope to 1ms/division.
2. Set the volt/division to 500millivolts (.5volts)
3. Invert the pattern.
4. Turn glitch capture on.
5. Adjust the trigger level 3/4 the way up the voltage spike. If using the old Snap-on Vantage PGM imagine where the spike would be.
6. Adjust trigger to stabilize the pattern.
7. Now simply move the probe to the other cylinders.
See samples below captured with the WyzeProbe...

Screen Capture from a Snap-on VERUS

The WyzeProbe can also be used with the Snap-on VERUS. This capture is from a 1998 Nissan with COP before and after.

Screen Capture from a Snap-on MODIS

The WyzeProbe provides a quick way to check secondary ignition with the Snap-on MODIS.

The WyzeProbe does not exactly match the input impedance of the MODIS. That means the signal is not a perfect representation of the signal. However, as you can see in this screen capture, it is close enough to evaluate the signal properly.

The probe also works with the Snap-on VantagePro, the attenuations are not exact but close enough to evaluate the signal properly.

Works on all labscopes! Industrial and automotive.

Screen Capture from a Fluke 98

The WyzeProbe provides a quick way to check secondary ignition with the Fluke 98 and other Fluke ScopeMeters.

This screen is from a 4.7L Jeep COP.

Works on all labscopes! Industrial and automotive.

Coil on Plug Ignition: The Wired Differences

The July 2011 issue of Underhood Service includes an article by Matt Dixon, Assistant Professor, SIU Carbondale.

He used the WyzeProbe with a PicoScope to obtain the secondary signals used for the article.
