The AutoEnginuity Scan Tool is a professional Windows PC diagnostics scan tool for all OBDII (OBD2) and EOBD IV+ compliant vehicles.
The hardware is USB 2.0 compliant and requires no device drivers. The software is available in English, Spanish, and German.
The AutoEnginuity Scan Tool supports all OBD-II Modes. Additional enhanced vehicle coverage can be added by individual manufacturer or region (domestic, asian, european)
This Generic CAN version includes the following functions:
Mode 1 Live Parameter Data
- View live vehicle sensors in a meter, graph, or grid format
- Unlimited logging of live vehicle sensors in TXT, XML, or CSV (1ms logging accuracy)
- Playback your data logs for offline analysis
- Display English or Metric (SI) units of measure supported
- Configure your sensors' ranges, scaling value, audible alert triggers, units, and sampling rate
- Support for the new extended sensor list (233 sensors--supporting the SAE J1979 May 2007 additions)
- Record feature enables datalogging for export and playback
Mode 2 Freeze Frame
- Read and clear Freeze Frame data
Mode 3 - 7 Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval
- View generic and manufacturer enhanced data on the same tool
- Save, print, read and clear Stored and Pending P, U, B, and C Trouble Codes. Supporting P0 - P9 generic and manufacturer specific codes (including the lettered codes (e.g., P06A0)
- Large manufacturer specific trouble code library (30,000+)
- Scan vehicle for diagnostic trouble code changes in five minute intervals.
Mode 4 Clear / Reset Emission-Related Information
- Clear the Check Engine or Service Engine Soon indicator
- Reset status of system monitoring tests
Mode 5 O2 Sensor Monitoring Test Results
- View O2 sensor test results and zoom to "known good" presets
- Wide-band O2 sensor support
- Clear oxygen sensor test data
- Resets fuel trim stored values
- View oxygen sensor live data and test results
Mode 6 OnBoard Monitoring Test Results
- Fully translates Mode 6 data with test results scaled per the manufacturer's own specifications. If a system test fails, now you can see the results from the failing component; not just the system- Run and query specific component and system tests. Support for generic and enhanced bi-directional tests
- View all 11 Inspection/Maintenance systems and Mode 6 data
- Automatically scans for changes in continuous and non-continuous onboard system test results in five minute intervals
- Save all IM and Mode 6 information or DTC and IM information into a report for offline review and/or printing
Mode 8 Request Control of OnBoard System / Components
Bi-directional support. You have the ability to initiate system and component tests
Mode 9 VIN reporting / CAL / CVN / In-Performance Tracking
- Full ECM information including CAL, CVN, and VIN reporting
- Displays the ECM ID, Calibration ID of the ECM, Calibration Verification ID of the ECM from all reporting ECMs.
- In-Performance Tracking monitors the number of times a component test encounters conditions suitable to run and complete
