Yes, it is recommended but not required. If you would like to scan all modules on Chrysler you will need the "MAXISYS-CCD CONN" The scan tool will prompt you when this connector is required.

Does this scanner require a special Chrysler 16 pin obd2 connector for Chrysler vehicles made before 2004? For example the maxidas ds708 has a special Chrysler interface connector.
