The ASE has a new certification category: Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist (L3).  A new patch for the shirt, a new plaque for the wall, and a NEW CERTIFICATION TEST!

Initial L3 testing begins in early 2015. These first test(s) will have 95 multiple choice questions, with a testing time of 3-1/2 hours, to measure your knowledge of the skills needed to diagnose both high and low voltage electrical/electronic problems, as well as other supporting system problems, on hybrid/electric vehicles.

Test registration opens on December 1, 2014, to register for the L3 you must have passed both the A6 and A8 tests.
