Part 1
Part 2
-Original Post-
Grab your computer, smart phone or tablet and check out the next Wells Tech Webinar. This less than thirty-minute presentation gives you direct access to the Wells Tech team of ASE-certified technicians as they explore Dual Crankshaft Sensor Diagnostics live on Thursday May 5, 2016 at 12 noon for each time zone.
Part 1 covered how the system functions and were able to show the scope setup for the cam sensor on the car. They also raised a question about the the supply voltage. Remember, they had only 11 volts on a 12 volt circuit. They had to stop there to keep each class under a half hour.
Part 2 they have a lot more to do on the car during this class. In fact, the entire class will be held on the vehicle, as they will be going step by step setting up the scope to read the cam sensor, both 7x and 24x crankshaft sensors, 3x signal from the ICM and the return control signal back from the PCM during bypass mode. They will also answer why they had only 11 volts using our DMM to perform a voltage drop test.
Part 2 will broadcast on Thursday May 5, 2016 and cover:
• 4 Channel Scope Setup
• Both Crankshaft sensors, Cam Sensor, and 3x Signal
• Voltage Drop Example
Part 1 broadcast on Thursday April 21, 2016:
• P0341 Case Study
• Cam Sensor Function and Diagnostics
• Scope Set Up
• On Vehicle Demo
